Class 2 has had a busy term, making and strengthening connections with other classes in the school.

On Mondays after lunch, we have been spending time with our buddies in Class 4. Together we have been learning and sharing songs, dances and games. Class 2 has thoroughly enjoyed teaching Class 2 the songs and dances we have been doing as a part of our The King of Ireland’s Son and Place Value main lessons. We have had fun adding in a recorder part to Marie’s Wedding and look forward to sharing a performance of it at an assembly in Term 3. Last week, we invited Class 4 to be pirates with us by joining Pirate Perry’s crew and began to teach them a new song and dance, “I’ve Been to Dover”. Tumbling over and over, the counter-circle part took a few attempts to get going, but as you can see from the photos, the students had a wonderful time.

We also spend time with Class 1 at Bush Schools on Wednesday, and last Tuesday, Class 2 with Class 1 visited Blue Wren Lodge. Led by the wonderful Bruce, the students performed songs from the upcoming Winter Festival and other favourite songs from Bush School and our previous Autumn Festival. The final song of “Happy Spirit” was a heartwarming end to a fabulous performance!
