Many people in our school community will be familiar with Uncle Eugene through their participation in our annual Nowanup Family Camps and his presence at various school and Denmark community events. He has been a long-term friend and advocate of Golden Hill,  a huge inspiration for our Bush School and Bush Kindy programs, and was instrumental in initiating the building of our Healing Hut mia-mia in recognition of our ongoing relationship with Nowanup. 

On behalf of the Golden Hill Steiner School community, I would like to extend a huge congratulations to Eugene for this well-deserved recognition of his tireless work on behalf of Noongar people and for reconciliation in many Great Southern communities, including our own.
